More than protecting.

The PinkPolarbear Foundation is more than just aiming to protect and support the habitat of the polar bear. While bears, seals and whales are the visible and popular face of the animal inhabitants of the high latitudes, there are many others too that are affected by change, and focussing on one species or another will not result in any major shift in the thinking or the behavior of the one species responsible for the anthropogenic factors driving the changes.

Supporting international polar research.

The PinkPolarbear Foundation is supporting international polar research in all disciplines, and in particular focussing on the contribution made by research to understanding the mechanisms driving climate change. That means supporting research in various ways, by direct support, by creating platforms, by leveraging financing, and by communicating on the science, the scientific activity and its outcomes. Also to support sustainable development initiatives for putting into practice what is seen as the appropriate response to the scientific findings.
